Upgrading to the new version will have no impact on the operation of TCP/IP transport services because all versions of the product encapsulate IP-to-X.25 functions as specified by the RFC 877 protocol standard.

Configuration

SAM uses the same configuration files for TCP/IP over X.25 that are currently in use on your system (the x25config_<cardID> and ip_to_x121_map files). SAM cannot be used to configure X.25 over ACC cards.

Upgrade considerations

ip_to_x121_map size value

The X.25 Streams sets the default size of the IP-to-X.121 address mapping table to 100 entries (the number of entries in the ip_to_x121_map file). You can increase this number by increasing the value of the max_ixaddrs kernel parameter to the desired number of entries.
