The format of the Port Definition Parameters section of the TTGEN Configuration File is as follows, with the second example representing Z7300A. Note that the parameters that must reflect your configuration are enclosed in < >. Suggested values for these parameters are given below. All other parameters should be used as shown.

Port-Definition
Port <mux>:<port> <port mode> <baud> <clock source> SDLC X1 NRZ
Port <mux>:<port> <port mode> <clock source> <frame> <encode>

Each Mux port that is used by the X.25/9000 Streams product must be configured in the Port-Definition section of the TTGEN Configuration File. The parameters to be configured are given in the ACC Mux Worksheet.

Mux

Mux number on which the port being configured resides. See “Interface Definition Parameters” for Mux Number details.

Port

Port being configured. The valid port numbers are 0 to 7 (0-1 for Z7350A, 0-3 for Z7300A and Z7330A or Z7330B).

Port Mode - 8-Port/2-Port Interface Cards

The valid port mode values are:

  • RS232 (RS-232/V.24)

  • RS4222(RS-442)

  • V35 (V.35)*

  • LBACK (Tristate (Loopback))

  • RS449 (RS-449)*

  • X21 (X.21/V.11)

  • V36 (V.36)*

    * Valid on 2-channel NIO and 8-channel PCI ACC cards only

The Tristate or Loopback mode is used to put a mux port into "tri-state" mode, which is typically only used with Dual Interface Configurations. Refer to the ACC Installation and Configuration Guide for more information on Dual Interface Configurations and to Appendix F “ACC Service Guard Configuration Notes” for more information about use with Service Guard.

Port Mode - 4-Port Interface Cards

The valid Z7300A port mode values are:

  • E1DB9

  • E1BNC

  • E1RJ45

  • T1DB9

  • T1BNC

  • T1RJ45

  • LBACK (Tristate (Loopback))

Baud - 8-Port/2-Port Interface Cards Only

The valid baud rate values for these ACC interface cards are 150, 300, 600, 1200, 2400, 4800, 9600, 14400, 19200, 38400, 48000, 57600, 64000, and 76800. For the Z7400A 8-channel ACC (EISA) card a baud rate of 128,000 is also valid.

For the Z7340A 8-channel and Z7350A 2-channel ACC cards, the following additional baud rates are available:

56000
128000
153600
192000
256000
307200
384000
512000
768000
1024000
1228800
1536000
1544000
2048000
NOTE: The sum of the baud rates for both ports on a 2-Channel card must not exceed 2,112,000.Baud is not a valid parameter for Z7300A, Z7330A, or Z7330B 4-Port T1/E1 interface cards.

Clock Source

For X.21, the valid clock source values are INT and ExIn, which indicate whether the clock source is internal or external.

For all other modes, the valid clock source values are INT and EXT, which indicate whether the clock source is internal or external.

NOTE: When the clock source is EXT, the Baud value is for reference only and is ignored.

Frame Mode - Z7300A 4-Port T1/E1 Interface Only

Valid frame modes for Z7300A are as follows:

  • F4

  • DF

  • SF

  • CRCMF

  • ESf

  • TRANS

  • F72

Encode Mode - Z7300A 4-Port T1/E1 Interface Only

Valid encode modes for Z7300A are as follows:

  • HDB3

  • B8ZS

  • AMI (Not currently supported)
