HP Integrity Virtual Machines Manager (VM Manager) is used to view and manage
virtual machines running under HP Integrity Virtual Machines. For
information about managing virtual machines on HP ProLiant systems,
see “HP Virtual Machine Management Pack”.
From the Visualization tab in Virtualization Manager, you can
access VM Manager in the following ways:
To display the VM Host view, click the
icon in the VM Host compartment.
To display the VM Manager view of an individual virtual
machine, click the
icon in the virtual machine compartment.
VM Manager helps you to create and monitor virtual machines
using HP Integrity Virtual Machines (Integrity VM). Integrity VM running
on HP Integrity servers creates software-controlled virtual machines
that share a single set of physical hardware resources. Each virtual
machine is a complete environment that runs its own instance of an
operating system (called a guest OS). Like a physical machine,
the virtual machine contains at least one processor core, memory,
disks, network interfaces, a console, and other virtual components.
Virtual components are partially emulated in software rather than
fully implemented in hardware.
VM Manager provides a graphical view of the virtual machines
running under a VM Host, their utilization metrics, the virtual resources
assigned to them, and the physical resources from which the virtual
resources are obtained. Actions you can perform from VM Manager include
the following:
Create new virtual machines.
Stop and start virtual machines
