VSE Management Software Version 4.0 provides expanded platform support and powerful new capabilities:

  • CMS platform support

    • HP ProLiant servers running 32–bit Microsoft® Windows®

    • HP Integrity servers running HP-UX 11i v2 or 11i v3

    • HP 9000 servers running HP-UX 11i v1, 11i v2, or 11i v3

  • Managed system platform support

    • HP ProLiant ML/DL servers running 32–bit Microsoft Windows

    • HP BladeSystem c-Class enclosures

    • HP BladeSystem c-Class server blades

    • HP Integrity and HP 9000 servers running HP-UX 11i v1, 11i v2, or 11i v3

    • HP Integrity servers running Linux

    • HP Integrity servers running 64–bit Microsoft Windows

    • VMware ESX hosts and virtual machines

    • Virtual machines running 32-bit Linux (supported when running under a VMware ESX host that has been configured in VM Manager)

    • Standalone 32-bit Linux systems (partially supported: no Virtualization Manager meters; also must import data from OVPA or PMP in order to use these as consolidation sources in Capacity Advisor)

    • Microsoft Virtual Server hosts and virtual machines

    • Integrity VM Hosts and virtual machines

    • HP nPartitions and nPartition complexes

    • HP-UX virtual partitions (vPars)

  • Integration with HP ProLiant Essentials Virtual Machine Management Pack (VMM)

  • Integration with HP Virtual Connect Enterprise Manager (VCEM)

  • Integration with Insight Power Manager

  • Integration with Performance Management Pack

  • Integration with HP Server Migration Pack — Universal Edition (SMP Universa)l

  • Power management and forecasting

  • Logical server management

  • HP Instant Capacity Manager

  • Japanese localization of product screens and most help files and manpages

  • Localization of most related documentation into the following languages: Japanese, T-Chinese, S-Chinese, Korean, Italian, French, Spanish, and German
