It is frequently desirable to move processors among servers or add processors to balance resources, adjust headroom, deal with existing problems, or prevent anticipated ones. With HP Capacity Advisor, you can make more informed decisions about re-configuring your servers to improve the quality of service or maintain it with a more efficient configuration. Capacity Advisor allows you to size your system with more precision. This sizing is not based on a simple peak utilization value, but on knowing the answers to questions such as whether your system is more than 70% busy for an unacceptable percentage of the time. Two procedures are described below:
