Table of Contents Your server configuration can be synchronized and controlled across one or more server installations. These server installations can be on the same machine as the Server Manager program, or on different machines. Server Manager identifies each AAA installation as a server connection and maps a hostname to the IP address (both traditional IPv4, and IPv6 address formats are supported) or DNS name of a remote machine where a AAA server is installed. Starting with HP-UX AAA Server A.08.00.01 release, HP-UX AAA Server Manager supports administering multiple HP-UX AAA Servers on the same host for scalability. Also, HP-UX AAA Servers can be distributed on different hosts for high-availability. For more information, see Chapter 18
You cannot configure servers until a server connection is established. All configuration modifications are saved locally and are not associated with any server.
