Installing and Uninstalling the HP-UX AAA Server

Log in to your system as root.

Verify that the product dependencies are installed:

# export PATH=$PATH:/usr/sbin 
# swlist |egrep “hpuxwsTomcat|hpuxwsApache|T1456AA”

	IMPORTANT: Be sure you have the correct versions of the product dependencies installed -- refer to the HP-UX AAA Server Release Notes.

Verify that the patch dependencies are installed. Skip this step if you are installing the HP-UX AAA Server on an HP–UX 11i v2 or HP-UX 11i v3 operating system.

# swlist -l product | grep aC

Review the patch requirements in the product Release Notes if the following value is not returned:

HP aC++ -AA runtime libraries (aCC A.03.37)

	NOTE: Check the Release Notes for the HP-UX AAA Server version you are installing to verify patch requirements.

Download the AAA Server depot file from http://www.software.hp.com and move it to /tmp

Verify that you have downloaded the file correctly:

# swlist -d -s /tmp/<AAA Server>.depot

Stop any active Tomcat processes:

/opt/hpws/tomcat/bin/shutdown.sh

Install the AAA Server:

# swinstall -s /tmp/<AAA Server>.depot HPUX-AAAServer

	NOTE: If the installation is not successful, an error message is displayed. The cause of the failure will appear at the end of /var/adm/sw/swagent.log file.

After installing the product, add the following entries to the /etc/services file:

# RADIUS protocol radius    
1812/udp radacct    
1813/udp 

	NOTE: These RADIUS values are the server’s defaults and are specified in the RADIUS RFC 2865.

From the navigation tree, click Administration.

Verify the AAA server you want to stop is selected in the Server Status Frame.

Click Stop to stop the server.

From the command line, stop the RMI objects and Tomcat. See “Starting and Stopping the RMI Objects” and “Starting and Stopping Tomcat” for more information.

	NOTE: Enter the following command if you have not done it already: # export JAVA_HOME=/opt/java1.4

Check if db_srv is running:

$ ps -ef |grep db_srv

If db_srv is running, stop it with the /opt/aaa/bin/stop_db_srv.sh script.

Remove all files residing in the /var/opt/aaa/ and /opt/hpws/tomcat/webapps/aaa/aaalog/ subdirectories.

Logout anyone using HP-UX AAA Server administrator login “aaa”.

As root user, enter swremove HPUX-AAAServer or swremove at the command prompt to invoke the standard HP-UX GUI to select HPUX-AAAServer bundle for removal. Refer the swremove manpage for more information on this command.
