HP Gigabit Ethernet is a high-performance Ethernet networking
solution for HP-UX-based servers and workstations. 1000Base-T allows
HP-UX-based servers and workstations to connect to IEEE 802.3ab
standard networks over Cat 5 or Cat 5E UTP copper cable. It operates
at 10, 100, or 1000 Mbit/s and supports autonegotiation and autosensing.
1000Base-SX provides the means for interfacing various types
of HP-UX-based computers to a 1000Base-SX multimode fiber network.
It operates only at 1000 Mbit/s but supports autonegotiation.
