Job attributes provide information about how to process a
print job. Typically a user sets these attributes interactively
in the Job Options dialog box. However, as a system administrator,
you can choose whether to change the default values for job attributes.
These attributes include:
xp-spooler-command-options
job-name
This attribute specifies the name given each job. Unless a
user specifies a banner page interactively, this job name will appear
on each banner page. By default, no job name is specified.
To change the default, enter the text that you want to appear
on banner pages.
Example
This entry:
*job-name: Marketing - Bin 5 |
specifies a job name, Marketing - Bin 5,
that identifies the department and location where the printed document
should be delivered when complete.
xp-spooler-command-options
This attribute can be used to specify command line options
to the lp spooler.
To do so, enter the exact command line options you want to apply
when a job is sent to the spooler.
Example
This entry specifies a command option to omit banner pages.
