C|U C for compute, U for utility.
BB Building Block (combine with x to create a building block name, such as CBB or UBB).
n Sequential numeric identifier, beginning at 1 (identifies the building block number, the port ID, and the switch number). For example, CBB3, UBB4, and so on.
YYYY Ethernet switch description (AES, CES, or IES).
P Port (combine with n to create the Port ID element, such as P01.)
MP Embedded Ethernet port on the Management Processor or iLO (Integrated lights Out). This is a feature of servers that enables you to connect to the server and perform console operations (such as power-up and boot). This port is used for the cluster’s console network.
Nzz Identifies the node number (N03 for example).
NIC Embedded 10/100/1000BaseT ports on Server. NIC1 is used for the administrative network.
