In the September 2007 release of HP-UX 11i v3, this driver has been enhanced to support dynamic loading. A complete Dynamically Loadable Kernel Module (DLKM) Infrastructure is required to enable the DLKM feature of the driver. For complete information, see “I/O Subsystem”.
The most current documentation for Fast Ethernet products can be found in the I/O Cards and Networking Software area on http://docs.hp.com at http://docs.hp.com/en/netcom.html. The HP PCI Ultra160 SCSI driver manages the A6828A and A6829A Peripheral Component Interconnect (PCI) single and dual port Host Bus Adapters (HBAs). In the September 2007 release of HP-UX 11i v3, this driver has been enhanced to support dynamic loading. A complete Dynamically Loadable Kernel Module (DLKM) Infrastructure is required to enable the DLKM feature of the driver. For complete information, see the “I/O Subsystem”.
All modules within 11.31 SCSI cumulative I/O patch (PHKL_36322) are not DLKM (Dynamically Loadable Kernel Module) feature compliant. This patch also includes static modules. Therefore, any updates (made using either swinstall or swremove commands) to Ultra160 SCSI driver in HP-UX 11i v3 September 2007 will cause a system reboot. This behavior remains the same as in prior releases.
Manpages: scsictl(1M) Documentation for the Ultra160 SCSI driver is available at http://docs.hp.com/en/netcom.html#SCSI%20Host%20Bus%20Adapters The drivers in the following subsections are optional, meaning they are not automatically installed, but can be selected during installation.
IB4X-00 is the driver bundle for the InfiniBand Clustering System, which can be downloaded via http://software.hp.com.
You will now be able to use AD313A and 410533-B21 with HP-UX 11i v3 systems. This driver has been enhanced to support dynamic loading. For detailed information, see the following:
All of the above documents can be found at http://docs.hp.com under I/O and Networking Software under Fabric Clustering System for InfiniBand. The mass storage drivers in the following subsection are required, which means they are automatically installed during HP-UX installation.
The CommonIO bundle packages multiple products and is always installed. The CommonIO bundle now delivers SAS-COMMON, which contains utilities to manage certain factory-integrated SAS HBAs; and FC-COMMON, which contains user-space SNIA common libraries which were previously delivered as part of the fileset FibrChanl-00.FC-TACHYON-TL.FC-TL-RUN. For further information on specific changes in this release, see the HP CommonIO Release Notes. For further information on supported cards, see the SAS Host Bus Adapters Support Matrix and the HP Fibre Channel Host Bus Adapter Support Matrix. These documents are available at http://docs.hp.com/en/netcom.html. The HP PCI Tachyon TL/TS/XL2 driver (td) is part of the FibrChanl-00 bundle. The HP PCI Tachyon TL/TS/XL2 Fibre Channel driver manages the following single-port Host Bus Adapters (HBAs):
