HP-UX Parallel Umounts

HP-UX Parallel Umounts (UmountallCmdEnh) implements parallel unmounts.

Summary of Change

This new product implements parallel unmounts. This will make umountall(1M) work quickly. The mounted file systems will get unmounted in parallel, waiting only for dependent mount points. All the independent mount points will get unmounted concurrently.

Impact

This new product, if installed, will make shutdown faster. The shutdown command unmounts all the mounted file systems. With this product installed, this phase will complete quickly, bringing down the overall shutdown time.
