The Common Desktop Environment (CDE) is an environment for interacting with your workstation. When CDE is running on your system, it is said to be your system's desktop.

Summary of Change

On HP-UX 11.x, CDE uses TPS for printing. CDE now provides an option to print using either lp or TPS.

Details of Change

CDE now provides an option to print using either lp or TPS. Through this option the user can disable TPS and print using lp and viceversa. The CDE components that are affected by this change are dtcm, dtmail and dtpad. Printing with dtcm, dtmail and dtpad can occur with either lp or TPS.
