Updating to and Backdating from MPE/iX 6.0

Updating to MPE/iX 6.0

To update or install MPE/iX Release 6.0, your system must already be on the MPE/iX 5.5 (C.55.xx) or the MPE/iX 5.0 General Release (C.50.xx).

If your system is not on MPE/iX 5.5 or MPE/iX 5.0 General Release, you must first update your system to MPE/iX 5.0 before you can update to MPE/iX 6.0 (C.60.00).

If your system is on the MPE/iX 5.0 Limited Release (X.50.20), you must first update your system to MPE/iX 5.0 General Release (C.50.00) before you can update to MPE/iX 6.0.

Backdating from MPE/iX 6.0

If after installing MPE/iX 6.0 (C.60.00), you need to backdate to an earlier release, the only supported releases that you may backdate to are MPE/iX 5.5 (C.55.xx) and MPE/iX 5.0 General Release (C.50.xx). Contact your HP Support Representative prior to performing the backdate to ensure that all options have been discussed.
