Patch Descriptions

This page describes the patches that the OnlineDiag product may require.

OnlineDiag Patches (Release-Specific Patches)

For a list of the recommended and required patches for each version of the Support Tools, see:
"http://www.docs.hp.com/en/diag/st/st_read.htm".

Note: HP recommends that you always have the latest patch for your version of OnlineDiag installed on your system, in order to ensure proper operation and maximum system coverage. Patches marked "Critical" are required for proper operation of OnlineDiag.

Obtaining Patches

You can obtain Support Tools patches and more detailed information about the patches from the HP IT Resource Center:

  1. Log on to the HP IT Resource Center (http://us.itrc.hp.com/).
  2. If this is the first visit to the site, register and get a user ID.
  3. Click Individual Patches (Patch Database).
  4. Click HP-UX Patches.
  5. Select the desired version of HP-UX. You can search for patches by number, e.g. "PHSS_7930".
  6. Click on the Patch Name to read the Patch Description.
  7. Follow the instructions in the Patch Description for downloading and installing the patches you desire.
