HP DeskMon: Administrator's Guide

System Details 

The System Details menu is where local system information and some
miscellaneous reporting details are set.

To complete the screen form, type the values as follows and then press
MODIFY F6:

Accept Remote Configuration 

Type Y if you want this system to accept DeskMon updates from other
systems and automatically apply them using the DeskMon Update Server.
Otherwise, type N.

Local printer Ldev 

If you have a dedicated, non-spooled printer device for DeskMon on this
system, enter the logical device number for the printer device.  The
number must be between 21 and 1023.  The logical device must be
configured with a record width of 66 words.  For network monitoring, this
dedicated DeskMon printer can be used for remote reporting from other
systems.

Changing the Local Printer Ldev will only take effect when DeskMon is
re-started.

Check for hung master trucks 

Type Y if you want DeskMon to check for hung Master Trucks on this
system.  Otherwise, type N. Note that this feature does not work for
MPE/XL systems.

Report hung master trucks to 

The Report Category to which you want DeskMon to report when it detects a
hung Master Truck.

Stats file exceptions report 

Type Y if you want DeskMon to scan the HP DeskManager
STATSFIL.MAILDB.HPOFFICE file on this system.  Otherwise, type N. See
"LogScan" in Appendix D.

Report stats file exceptions to 

The Report Category to which you want DeskMon to report when it finds an
exception situation in the HP DeskManager STATSFIL.

Report status message to 

The Report Category to which you want DeskMon to report when it sends an
"ALL OK" status message (if you have option 2 configured in the Time
Scheduling menu).

This category is also used for miscellaneous messages that do not fit
into a particular category (for example, missing routes for a node where
there is no default node).
