Adding Records to an Existing Transaction File or Session Profile File 

From the initial Transaction File Editor screen, press  Edit File.  The
following screen appears:

Type the name of the Transaction File or Session Profile file you want to
add to.  If it is not in the sign on group and account you will have to
give this information too.  Press  Enter Filename.  The first record in
the file appears on your screen.  Move to the record after which you want
to add a record.  Use  Prev Record,  Next Record or  Goto Record to do
this.  Press  Append Record.  The following screen appears:

Type the transaction type number of the record you want to add to the
file, for example, 11400.  Press  Type No.  Entered.  The Transaction
File Editor will not allow you to add transaction types in the wrong
order, for example, Group 2 records after Group 3.

If your transaction type is valid the screen which appears prompts you
for values for each of its fields.  Tab through the fields typing the
relevant values in each, and then press  Append Complete.  The new record
will be added in the relevant position in the file.


NOTE If you use both foreign address aliases and explicit foreign addresses, the browsing of transaction types 10000, 20400, 21000, 21100, 21200, 21300, 30200 and 30400 differs from normal. There is not enough room on the screen to show the Additional user information (Option 2): field. Once you have completed the fields shown on the first screen, press Append Complete. A screen appears containing the Additional user information (Option 2): field. Complete this and press Append Complete. The process continues normally as described below.
You can either continue to add new records in the same way or press No More Appends which returns you to the last record added. To save your changes, press End Of Edit. The function keys at the bottom of the screen change. Press Save Changes. To save the changed Transaction File with its original filename just press Filename Entered. To save the changed Transaction File as a new file, type the name you require before pressing Filename Entered.
